A trusted source (Thanks a lot!!!) just shared the first image of the new Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 28-70 f/2.8 ASPH lens. The lens will be announced on June 12. It weights 570 g and cost just under 2.000€.
Sigma continues to push forward with the release of new lenses, and today I have some exclusive, exciting news to share with you! On June 17, at the BildExpo event (register here) Sigma will announce new lenses:
I have to say that the 17-40mm f/1.8 is particularly exciting as it offers APS-C camera owners the light gathering ability and bokeh quality of an f/2.8 FF lens. Impressive! This lens will probably be optically better and more compact than the legendary 18-35mm f/1.8.
ONE MORE RUMOR:
Sigma is supposed to hold another product announcement event in August/September that will focus more on new full frame lenses. There are rumors of four new FF lenses, I don’t know if 1-2 of them will be unveiled or announced on June 17:

According to one source Panasonic will announce two cameras and one lens on May 13:
According to the same source both cameras copy from CFExpress or SD to SSD. And both have a new AF mode named “Urban Sports”.
Again, this is not a rumor confirmed via multiple sources so there is still a margin of error. Me personally I was hoping to get an L-mount version of this beautiful camera. I will keep dreaming for now 🙂

I am 100% certain that on May 13 Panasonic will have a major announcement. I am yet not 100% sure about what to expect but I now got more solid hints about three new products:

First a correction: The next Sigma lens will be a 200mm f/2.0 and not f/1.8 as previously rumored.
Now two trusted sources have confirmed that we will get a 200mm f/2.0 FE and L-mount lens before the summer. Delivery will probably start in July. And both also told me that a second fast lens will be announced shortly thereafter (and it’s not the 35mm f/12. II). More about this lens soon on L-rumors
